Commodity Classic 2021: Pivot Bio What’s New Session recap

Year after year, the country’s most progressive growers attend Commodity Classic to learn about what’s new in the industry and connect with friends from near and far. Like most events this past year, the show was virtual. Although we certainly missed connecting with growers in person, we were grateful to engage with attendees online during Pivot Bio’s What’s New Session.

Our What’s New Session featured information about our newest addition to the Pivot Bio product portfolio: Pivot Bio RETURN® for grain sorghum.

Grain sorghum has quickly evolved into one of the most efficient crops for the Great Plains. With water availability a growing concern, sorghum is an alternative that farmers are increasingly considering for the upcoming planting season and beyond.

As for the markets, the future remains bright for the grain sorghum market. There are several market drivers that will continue to trend over the next few years that will support the growth of the sorghum market. Those include:

  • Increase in health consciousness among consumers.
  • Growing developments and applications of sorghum and millet in beer brewing.
  • Low cost requirements for production.
  • Increasing demand for niche gluten-free products.

We are thrilled to be able to bring our sorghum product to current and new customers across ten states for the 2021 planting season, with even more states pending. Those ten states are as follows:

Idaho
Kansas
Missouri
Nebraska
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Oregon
South Dakota
Texas
Washington
